Devastation

Soul shattered.

          Weight of what had gone unsaid... and

     what was said.

                            Fractured

            damaged beyond repair.

Never should have

           Never would have

                      Never meant to...

Too little, too late.

          Can never say it...

                          Always feel it.

A thousand what ifs

                          Excuses

       One million reasons

                                    Fear.

Truth?

            Coward.

So afraid

             only regret and sorrow remain.

Soul shattered

              Love lost.

     Dead and cold

                        without her light.

I see her live and breathing

                            and I know

               Fact

Must save her or die trying.

                    Resolve dies as her azure eyes search mine

                             Hurtful words echo in my ears...

     Denial.

                Coward.

                                Soul shattered

Moment lost.
